Finding unapplied cash payment income on your income statement while clearing QuickBooks Online can be confusing. One of the most common reasons for unused cash income to appear on the income statement is entering the invoice date after the invoice payment date. You can rerun your income statement and you will find that the unapplied cash expense account no longer appears on the income statement.
